Ford Treks to SEMA With Impressive Group of Offerings

Tens of thousands of people flock to SEMA every year and Ford will show off 50 customized vehicles, including special Escapes, Explorers and Expeditions.

Each year several automakers trek to Las Vegas with a car hauler full of creative concepts hoping to outdo the others on the show floor at SEMA, and Ford plans to make a play for top honors featuring a slew of specialized entries this year.

The company is highlighting eight versions of their Ford Escape, Explorer or Expedition with some set up to go fast and others set up to go where others dare to tread. The company will actually have 50 customized vehicles on display next month.

“There’s a growing hunger for consumers to personalize their SUVs, which have a huge range of possibilities from lowered street rides to off-road overlanding,” said Eric Cin, global director, Ford vehicle personalization and accessories.

“As the latest versions of Escape and Explorer continue to provide buyers with even more options for what they want, the aftermarket is a great place to see just how much more there is out there.”

The Ford display is the largest original equipment manufacturer exhibit at this year’s SEMA show. Additionally, the automaker is bringing back its Ford Out Front, an interactive experience “for those looking to take a thrill ride

I am trying to understand this lead picture – it is of Dodge products. Surely you have a SEMA image of a recent Ford Display there and I’m sure the SEMA PR section does. PS, we are SEMA members.
