Twice calls diver a "pedo," slang for pedophile.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk called one of the divers that found the Thai boys soccer team trapped in a cave a pedophile.

The wild ride that has been Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk’s behavior took another odd turn over the weekend as he got into a twitter fight with one of the divers who helped rescue the Thai boys soccer team from a flooded cave last week.

Musk called one of the British divers who discovered the boys a “pedo,” slang for pedophile, not once, but twice in a series of angry tweets after the diver dismissed his interest in trying to help save the boys with a small submarine as a publicity stunt.

“He can stick his submarine where it hurts,” Unsworth told CNN.

That drew the highly criticized response from Musk. “Sorry pedo guy, you really did ask for it,” Musk tweeted early Sunday in response to the explorer’s criticism of its plan. A follow-up tweet from Musk to someone who challenged the statement, saw him double down on the contention with “Bet ya a signed dollar it’s true.” The tweets have since been taken down.

Musk complained about the media coverage of the latest crash involving Tesla's Autopilot.

Musk took an interest in the unfolding drama of the 12 boys and their coach trapped in a cave in Thailand after the torrential rains flood the exit. The group was trapped for more than two weeks.

As experts scrambled to develop a plan to extricate the group from Musk quickly developed a small submarine to try to help with the evacuation, including testing it in a pool and trying to replicate the conditions.

However, with more rains coming to the region, rescue organizers decided they had to move quickly. Musk sent the sub anyway, commenting that the move to go sooner than expected made sense, but he wanted to send the sub along anyway in case something changed.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has a plan for dealing with the news media.

However, Musk’s behavior toward the diver only highlighted his recent predilection for odd and aggressive behavior. In May, he announced plans to create a Yelp.com-like website where people can rate the credibility of journalists and news organizations and call it Pravda, after the former Soviet Union’s main propaganda outlet, in response to a series of stories critical of the company.

During Tesla’s first quarter earnings call, he insulted analysts, calling their questions stupid or boring, while talking about the company’s results in condescending tone. He’s also gotten into twitter spats with followers, including implying one person was mentally unstable.

The most recent spat with Unsworth had some wondering if he’d gone too far and if it might affect the company’s stock. Through mid-afternoon, the company’s stock was down nearly 4%, but not enough to suggest his latest rant was a problem for investors.

Musk reminds me of Trump, lashes out people…

Beat me to it Bernard. Let Trump “trump” people. He’s got enough pressure plus doesn’t want to end up like Papa John’s papa John.

Also, Trump’s got a slew of people to take the blame, fall on the sword, and martyr themselves to protect Trump; Mr. Musk does not.
