GMC is making it tough for midsize truck shoppers.

You want capable, steady and fun. Bam! The Canyon Elevation model. Want something a little nicer, more capable? Boom! AT4. Looking to camp, fish or simply get away from the world where your smart phone no longer gets service? Pow! AT4X. Need something that gets you to the hardware store, the soccer field and a night out? No problem! Denali.
General Motors’ premium brand has been expanding its full-size Sierra into these categories with great success and now its rolling out the same game plan for the Canyon and it gets to offer these two new trim levels — AT4X and Denali — with a completely new design outside and in.
Competitors like Ford, Nissan, Toyota and more now have more to deal with the next-gen Canyon, in particular with the off-road warrior AT4X model.
“GMC is flexing the might of our off-road muscle,” said GMC Global Vice President Duncan Aldred. “Canyon benefits from key learnings gained from our AT4 strategy to bring customers the most advanced off-road midsize truck.”
