New vehicles and new smart phones become more and more alike all the time, but those newfound similarities generally applied to the electronics in each until now with Jeep Performance Parts now offering Gorilla Glass replacement windshields.

Gorilla Glass, which is produced by Corning, is highly resistant to breaking and used on a variety of very popular smart phones. So, if you drop your Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator on the kitchen floor, just like your iPhone or Samsung Galaxy, you can take it in and get the glass replaced.
Obviously, you wouldn’t “drop” your Jeep on the kitchen floor — it would be the driveway — the moving to the tougher-than-normal glass offers obvious benefits for off-roading Jeep drivers.
“Out on the trail or on a daily commute, windshield damage can happen anywhere at any time,” said Mark Bosanac, North America vice president, Mopar Service, Parts & Customer Care. “Our proven, quality-tested JPP replacement windshields made with Gorilla Glass offer hard-core Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator owners additional protection and a factory warranty.”
Just like your smart phone screen
The new JPP windshield made with Corning Gorilla Glass uses the same chemical-strengthening technology as cell phone screens, the automaker noted.

Mopar’s replacement windshields offer a combination of an ultra-thin Gorilla Glass inner ply with a 52% thicker outer ply makes this windshield lightweight and durable. It’s also better a resisting chips, cracks and fractures from stones — stuff that Wrangler and Gladiator owners are likely to encounter during their off-road adventures.
The Gorilla Glass replacements offer a two-year limited (from date of install), unlimited-mile warranty from Mopar. The replacement windshield features the original Jeep branding “Easter eggs” along with the Gorilla Glass brand’s signature gorilla head artwork.
The new replacements aren’t the first for Jeep and Gorilla Glass, as they offered a version for the previous-generation Wrangler JK from 2007 to 2018. They started offering them in April 2018.
More options in the offing
Jeep Performance Parts isn’t just limiting the Gorilla Glass windshields to everyday Wrangler and Gladiators.
Later this summer, JPP Gorilla Glass windshield replacement offerings will also be available for Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator models equipped with additional options, including a forward-facing camera, a camera-surround heater and/or an embedded antenna.
Prices on the replacement models start at $645 for the JK Wranglers, then jump to $793 for the current models and up to $932 if you need one to account for a forward camera, surround heater and antenna, the company noted.
