Lexus Rolling out Revamped LF Concept at Tokyo

Makers tweaking concepts for multiple shows.

by on Nov.04, 2013

Lexus is bringing at tweaked version of the LF-NX concept vehicle to the Tokyo Motor Show.

The string of concept cars coming to the Tokyo Motor Show just got a little longer with Lexus announcement it’ll have one for the event later this month: the LF-NX crossover.

The “new” concept is actually the same vehicle it showed at the Frankfurt Motor Show with a few modifications, including a newly developed 2.0-liter turbo-charged engine.

Lexus Adding New RC 350 Coupe

Performance RC F model may also be in offing.

by on Nov.04, 2013

Lexus adds an all-new line of coupes with the debut of the 2015 RC 350 and RC 300h.

Look for Lexus to introduce the all-new RC 350 coupe at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show – but calling this an entirely new model line isn’t entirely accurate.

As BMW has just done, splitting off the old 3-Series Coupe and rebadging it the 4-Series, so Lexus is doing with the two-door version of its familiar IS line.  But while the Lexus RC 350 will have fewer doors the images the maker has released in advance of the Tokyo show reveals that the coupe will have a significantly bigger and more dramatic version of the now-familiar Lexus “spindle” grille.

A Real Coup!

The interior, meanwhile, adopts a more refined and sporty appearance than the entry-oriented Lexus IS, with a more driver-oriented layout designed, says Lexus, to “enhance the fun-to-drive intention of the RC.”

A New Face for the Lexus RX

A sportier look for a soccer-mom standby.

by on Mar.08, 2012

The new F-Sport version of the Lexus RX450h hybrid made its debut in Geneva this week.

Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda has given a mandate to the Japanese maker’s Lexus brand.  While it may have a reputation for bullet-proof reliability he also wants it to deliver more passionate design, as last year’s launch of the 2013 Lexus GS illustrated.

The real test comes with the Geneva Motor Show launch of the luxury brand’s soccer mom mainstay, the RX crossover – which rolled onto the floor at Geneva’s PALExpo Convention Center revealing a decidedly new look, its face clearly lifted from the GS blueprints – notably starting with the sport sedan’s distinctive double spindle grille and LED running lamps.

News You Can Use!

To emphasize its passion play, Lexus officials revealed the new RX F-Sport model, which adds a sporty front fascia, smoked head and taillamps and darker wheels.
