Trick or treat? This pumpkin-hued Jeep CJ66 melds three generations of Wrangler sheet metal and components.

Didn’t have enough Halloween to make you happy? Well, the folks at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles have pulled off some intriguing tricks to deliver an assortment of treats as the annual SEMA Show opens in Las Vegas.

Customized by the MOPAR parts and accessories division, FCA has unveiled six intriguing concept vehicles covering the gamut from minivan to crossover, muscle car to SUV. There’s even a rolling barroom that would be the ultimate way to go tailgating.

What a Concept!

With two of the SEMA Show Cars, MOPAR has used a little wizardry, combining both old and new parts and components to create a pair of vehicles that are entirely unique. That starts with the Dodge Shakedown Challenger, which starts out with the body of a 1971 Challenger Coupe. But it doesn’t end that way.

Chrysler is looking to make some noise, loud noise, with the 2014 Mopar Challenger it unveiled at the SEMA show this week.

Chrysler is going forward into the past. Some of the maker’s most important announcements at this year’s SEMA Show harken back in its history, notably including the decision to revive the classic “Shaker” hood that was a hallmark of some of Chrysler’s most fearsome products during the original muscle car era.

The maker’s Dodge brand also announced plans to revive the ‘70s-era “SCAT Pack,” with the introduction of three new high-performance accessory packages for a range of its latest models. They will likely be in hot demand for the third key Chrysler announcement at the 2013 SEMA aftermarket show, the unveiling of the Mopar ’14, a limited-edition version of the Dodge Challenger.

Considering its traditional emphasis on performance, the SEMA Show was the perfect venue for the three announcements, especially the revival of the gone-but-not-forgotten Shaker hood, the name given to a top-mounted, cold-air intake scoop that helped feed the beasts that powered classic models like the original Dodge Challenger and Charger muscle cars. The idea of a bulked-up Cinquecento might seem surprising to Americans, though Fiat’s affiliate, Abarth, has long shown what you can do with the little 4-seater.  And now, Mopar is taking a crack at it.  The Fiat 500 going on display at the Las Vegas Convention Center will feature flared fenders, a front air dam, a lower sill, modified rear exhaust and 18-inch Alcoa alloy wheels.
