Once one of the dominant luxury brands, Lincoln has slipped into near obscurity, in recent years, as it’s been passed by BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Lexus as well as cross-town rival Cadillac.

Part of the problem has been a lack of a competitive product portfolio. But now, Ford Motor Co. seems intent on giving Lincoln what it needs with an assortment of offerings that will cover a lot more white space over the next few years.

I Spy With My Little Eye!

The turnaround effort gets seriously underway in 2013 with the launch of an all-new Lincoln MKZ and is followed by, among other critical additions, an all-new sport-utility vehicle — shown here.

Spy Shots: Scion IQ

Captured by TheDetroitBureau.com's spies, a week before its NY Auto Show debut.

by on Apr.01, 2009

You'll see the rest of the Scion IQ Concept Car at next week's NY Auto Show.

You'll see the rest of Toyota's Scion brand IQ concept car at next week's New York Auto Show.

After a long stakeout (on a public street, of course) outside a top-secret Toyota facility, we caught a quick glimpse of Scion’s upcoming New York Auto Show Concept.  The” super-compact” hatchback, named IQ (same name as Toyota’s version), will debut as a Scion next week, and is expected to be sold here in the States.

The IQ, the first real competitor to the Smart, will likely be powered by a 1.5-liter engine, and will roll into dealerships in the $15,000-range.

Although our pictures were snapped through open doors of a car carrier and the lighting was extremely limited and filtered, we were still able to capture several details that weren’t supposed to be revealed until next week.

We find Scion’s version of the IQ more stylish and appealing than Toyota’s, with exaggerated fender flares, unique wheels and a new front fascia – as well as an interesting scoop-looking detail behind the front wheels.

Ocean Drive Concept comes to life?

Ocean Drive Concept comes to life?

When we saw this 2010 Mercedes-Benz S-Class with new front and rear fascias, we immediately thought of the Ocean Drive Concept. From the slightly V-shaped grille, to the LEDs surrounding the headlamps, to the clean and smooth rear bumper – designers are following the direction of the stunning Ocean Drive.

We’re expecting this freshened and very stylish S Class to reach the States in time for the 2010 model year.
