The snowy Alps will serve as the appropriate backdrop for the return of the allroad Quattro. The strangely punctuated version of the A4 will make its debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
The new model will offer buyers three new, high-tech engines, all with direct injection, turbocharging or even brake regeneration. That includes a 2.0-liter TFSI gasoline engine with variable valve lift that makes 211 hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2.0-liter TDI common rail diesel has an output of 170 hp and 258 lb.-ft., while the 3.0-liter TDI V-6 is the most powerful diesel in the line-up, with 240 hp and a maximum torque of 389 lb.-ft.
The 2.0 TDI works together with a six-speed stick shift, while the other two engines are teamed with Audi’s seven-speed S-tronic transmission with double clutch. Add the snow-ready quattro full-time All-Wheel-Drive system on the allroad.
