Boys never outgrow their toys. And while most men of driving age probably won’t be caught zoom-zooming with a Matchbox car, Chevrolet is giving them another way to pretend they’re Optimus Prime, in this case with the 2010 Transformers Edition of the new and wildly popular Chevy Camaro.
“When the first Transformers movie was setting box office records, we had countless customers asking to buy the Bumblebee Camaro” that played a critical role in the action film, says Chevrolet marketing director Karen Rafferty. “Now they can buy one.”
The Transformers Edition can be equipped with either a 3.6-liter V-6 or the 426-horsepower 6.2-liter V-8, and a variety of high-tech features, including Bluetooth technology, XM Satellite Radio and OnStar.
